So exactly what are we supposed to be looking for in this dump? Without
knowing exactly what connection you tried to make during the time that
the dump was being captured, I don't have a clue where to start.

In the absence of that information, I can only suggest that you consult
the DNAT (port forwarding) troubleshooting tips in FAQs 1a and 1b. And
if you submit another report, please give us a hint about what you tried
and what you saw between the time when you reset the netfilter counters
(either via 'shorewall start', 'shorewall restart', or 'shorewall
clear') and when you took the dump.

And please also look at http://www.shorewall.net/Notices.html#Shell-EOL;
it might save you some grief when, in the future, you upgrade from Lenny
to Squeeze.
