Shorewall6 is very similar to Shorewall. Until you configure and start it,
it does nothing.

It's configuration directory is /etc/shorewall6. Shorewall6 includes sample
configurations just like the base product does.  The biggest difference in
configuration is that IPv6's large address space and auto-configuration
features make NAT unnecessary.

There is no quickstart guide but there are a couple of articles about
Shorewall6:

I suggest that you read them in that order.
