Hello man 8 tc-stab documents some cool features of tc that I would like to use. Namely, with "overhead" and "linklayer" I would be able to accurately control traffic over my ADSL link. Without overhead and linklayer, traffic control becomes much less efficient, particularly for small packet users like me.
An example of the use of overhead and linklayer is the "qos script by TomVH" (https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?pid=154533#p154533). I would like to continue to maintain my firewall with Shorewall *and* use the overhead and linklayer parameters as part of my traffic control. I could achieve this now if I wrote my own /etc/shorewall/tcstart. However, that approach would at an absolute best be lengthy and error prone. Hence, would it be possible to change Shorewall to be able specify my own overhead and linklayer values? Regards Fog_Watch. -- "A. Because it breaks the logical order of conversation. Q.
