Mine is the iwlagn driver; i don't know whether that's just an older version of the same thing, or a completely different driver. Perhaps your issue is actually with the card/driver rather than NetworkManager. Regardless, i suggest looking for a wireless-specific mailing list to ask your question. Good luck!
