Look at the 'capabilities' file in the directory where you keep your 
Shorewall-lite configuration; you should see a line for ULOG_TARGET. I 
suspect that it looks like this:

        ULOG_TARGET=

If that is the case, you can try setting it to ULOG_TARGET=Yes and see 
if the firewall config loads correctly to your Shorewall-lite system.
