I am proxy-maintaining shorewall for Gentoo.

Benny is talking about an internal QA problem [1].

But this is now *fixed* (as documented by shorewall, distributions
should adjust SUBSYSLOCK for their need, but we we haven't done that
before). This fix hasn't been published to our portage tree yet but I
expect to publish shorewall-4.5.19 which will incorporate this fix with
various other Gentoo-specific fixes next week (also with shorewall-init,
first release for Gentoo). Progress can be tracked in my GIT overlay [2].


@ Tom: I am looking forward to send you patches which will add
Gentoo-support to shorewall's installer for example. But these patches
are not yet ready.
