I have a weird need covered by FAQ 1F
(http://shorewall.net/FAQ.htm#faq1f) using "ugly hack" mentioned
there.
RULES: DNAT net loc:10.10.10.33:8888 <http://10.10.10.33:8888> tcp
8888
MASQ: eth1:10.10.10.33 eth0 10.10.10.11 tcp 8888
(eth0: Internet, eth1: local lan)
When the public port (8888) is the same as internal port (8888),
WORKS fine.
I need to use different ports: 8888 external, 88 internal
I tried several combinations:
DNAT net loc:10.10.10.33:88 <http://10.10.10.33:88> tcp 8888
That is the correct DNAT rule -- did you also change the masq rule to
specify port 88 rather than 8888.
