LSM compiles just fine but then crashed immediately when starting 
(strace only reports a exit 1 status). I haven't looked much into it though.

Swping didn't help solve the issue. I'm not sure if it is a good 
approach, but adding a 'shorewall restart -f' in the update-resolve-conf 
script called by openvpn upon every restart seems to have fixed the issue..
