It seems that my package manager didn't upgrade shorewall-core as expected. Re-installing "shorewall" solved the dependency issue. Was: # shorewall version -a shorewall-core: 4.5.21.10 shorewall: 4.6.9 shorewall6: 4.6.9 shorewall-init: 4.6.9 Is now: # shorewall version -a shorewall-core: 4.6.9 shorewall: 4.6.9 shorewall6: 4.6.9 shorewall-init: 4.6.9 # shorewall show capabilities Shorewall has detected the following iptables/netfilter capabilities: No error message.
