Im sorry Bob but I believe you wrong.

I set my split DNS up so that the internal DNS points to my internal 
server (192.168.0.25) while the outside DNS is pointing to the public IP.

During the web interaction the client (browser) will ask the server 
(apache) for something where the server will reply that the server is 
located at 192.168.0.25 as it is seen from the server itself.

I really don't see how you can claim that this is covered by the FAQ2, 
but maybe I have missed something.
