We all were afraid this moment would come but I wish you all the best for your many travels to come. But back to shorewall, do you see any way your work could be carried on? I recall last time you were thinking about taking it easier you were looking for people to take over the codebase. I assume there are a few in the users list which might be able and inclined to take on. I assume there must be a documentation on how shorewall works internally.
