Hi Erich,
I take ipv4 files from Maxmind. Obviously you need to have a free
registration first. I use GeoIP Lite databeses, these are free of charge
and their legacy API. The perl converter that comes from the older
version of xtables-addons package. The latest one from the 3.9's version
of xttables-addons script doesn't work for me. I have written also a
simple bash script that downloades and converts for the xt_geoip usable
form the downloaded Maxmind's ipv4 geoip lite contents. I use it in
cron's schedule once a day or even once a week. More often it doesn't
make sense.
