Dear colleagues,

We're volunteers trying to help! :)

I am currently using two ipsets containing botnet IP addresses and tor network exit nodes IP addresses to block them with Shorewall Firewall. Blocking rules are contained in the /etc/shorewall/blrules configuration file. The ipset update script is executed as a cronjob task. Is it necessary to restart the shorewall firewall when the cronjob script updates the ipset? Are the new IP addresses in a given ipset are managed automatically in Shorewall? I don't know the nature of ipset, hence my question.

Have a look at (1).
