Shorewall version 5.2.8 on RHEL 7 virtualized on Ovirt hypervisors, routing and filtering traffic between 5 networks full of VMs via VLANs in Ovirt. All virtual VM interfaces (including Shorewall VM), are on 10 Gbps.
Effective speed between VMs on same network segment is full 10 Gbps. Speed between different networks that go trough Shorewall hardly ever reaches 1 Gbps. What can be done to achieve full throughput of traffic going trough Shorewall?
