Some advice: Here's the direct link to the Gentoo handbook on how to create a local repository: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Handbook:AMD64/Portage/CustomTree#Creating_a_custom_ebuild_repository This will also create the necessary masters attribute. For using this repository, please also take note of the necessary steps when adding an ebuild there: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Creating_an_ebuild_repository#Adding_an_ebuild_to_an_ebuild_repository This should be sufficient to get you going. Of course, it might be useful to have shorewall-nft inside an overlay (e.g. Gentoo GURU) at some point in case someone has the time to maintain it there, then adding this overlay will be sufficient without creating a local repository.
