Please read Jim's latest comments on the ticket and let us know if you have any other questions, either about the work to be done or about the tools/processes involved. It might be best to continue the discussion by appending comments to the Mallard ticket itself.
Note that we have not yet updated the Shotwell user guide for 0.7 (http://trac.yorba.org/ticket/2393) and once we do so we'll want to merge those changes into the Mallard documentation, though I think those changes will be pretty modest.
