Shotwell (and two libraries it relies on) are available at the Yorba Launchpad PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~yorba/+archive/ppa I doubt this works with Squeeze, but I'm throwing it out there. I'm unaware of any Debian-specific PPA for Shotwell.
