it seems you tried to manually install only the shotwell rpm. The URL
I gave earlier points to a repository which also contains an updated
libgexiv2 package.
So, instead of downloading and installing manually, try this:
su -c 'wget -nd -P /etc/yum.repos.d/
http://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/thm/shotwell/fedora-shotwell.repo'
and then
su -c 'yum install shotwell'
