Dear list, On 2 of the 3 machines where I run Shotwell, the Camera > Mass Storage Camera node in the sidebar does not appear when an SDcard is automatically mounted by my operating system. In order for that node to appear, I systematically need to first go to 'File > Import from folder', and select the memory card device.
I've found a 2010 thread regarding a similar issue [1], but my libgphoto2 is much more recent than the one that seemed to cause that user trouble. What might be a significant difference is that the first computer runs the GNOME desktop environment, whereas the two problematic machines run KDE. What could be causing this minor inconvenience ?
