Thanks Colin but I went down that route and my default player is already
set. I reset is and restarted Shotwell. Same results and Nautilus opens
to that video. Then I can click on it to start DragonPlayer. Again, it
was fine and I haven't had an update for Shotwell in a while.

In Nautilus right click one of the video files and select Properties.
Then on the Open With tab check that the Default Application is your
preferred video player. If it is not then set it accordingly and
click Set as Default at the bottom of the dialog. Do that for a video
file of each extension type if you have more than one.
