Greetings! I haven't taken any photos since October of last year. At that time Shotwell recognized my Canon Powershot A610 instantly as it has been doing since I installed squeeze last spring.
Today, I plugged in the camera and Shotwell did not auto launch as usual and was unable to access the camera. The error message was: "The camera is locked by another application. Shotwell can only access the camera when it's unlocked. Please close any other application using the camera and try again." I went over to wheezy and Shotwell had no problem recognizing the camera or importing photos. But since squeeze is still my 'working' machine (and most likely will be till the end of the year), I'd like to get it working there. I deleted Shotwell dot files in my /home directory, reinstalled Shotwell and even rebooted but no joy. Is there any way to get Shotwell working again?
