Hi Siegfried, What version of Shotwell are you running? If you're running Shotwell 0.14.0 or later, you can simply delete your ~/.cache/shotwell directory while Shotwell isn't running and then restart Shotwell. Thumbnails will then be regenerated. Depending on how many photos you have, it might take a while. Note that removing the thumbnail cache directory will have no effect on your tags, events, or anything else. Shotwell 0.14.0 and later were designed under the assumption that because it's a cache directory, its contents could disappear at any time.
