Hello,

In order to setup an uptodate SHR environment, we have
http://build.shr-project.org/Makefile available thanks to Martin Jansa.

Not everybody will like the idea of using chroot. Personally I have been
using org.openembedded.dev based environment for a long time and never
needed it.

So I was looking for alternatives and found
http://gitorious.org/angstrom/angstrom-setup-scripts .
This is basing on the new oe layer structure to setup an angstrom
environment. It could be patched to replace angstrom by oe-core branch
and clone and update the meta-smartphone git repository and write the
shr specific configuration (and other steps I might be missing?).

These automatic setup mechanisms might be a good way to get started in
some cases. But in general I think it is better to provide detailed
documentation of the automated process.
I.e. describe how to manually go through the process and explain what
the individual steps do, like what are the branches for etc. (oe-core
this repository is the base of the system and is extended by
meta-smartphone with ...).
Running oebb.sh or make image will leave people never understanding what
they do.

I will start to make a stub for such a guide in the wiki. Since I'm only
getting started with oe core it would be nice to get some support.

Best,
Lukas
