There were a small speedup. Most noticeable when scrolling slowly, this was smoother without flaunch on top. It would likely be even faster if the scrolling area was shorter with flaunch sitting statically below. And of course flaunch would then be available! It is nice having some frequently used items directly available without scrolling - I put messages, contacts and gps there.
