What model?

My motorola s9-hd only needed pairing once and is fine afterwards - IF
you get the timimg right :)

When the headset is first turned on, you must have bluetooth on the FR
sending music within a minute or two (cant remember how long) or the
heaset falls back into pairing mode. Once paired, and the headset left
on you can stop the FR for ~15 minutes and just restart music playback.
If you miss the timeout, you can just turn the headset off/on and retry
- still no new pairing needed.

Nothing in the docs - just stumbled over it.
