It's easly possible with opimd, so implementing it shouldn't make any
problems. Now in opimd-utils i don't have any window, beep or sound,
but bubble with delivered message changes icon. For me that's enough,
but I agree someone can need more (perfectly it would be configuration
option)

That's different topic - UI dbusification and new phoneui API (which
is supposed to be able to do what you described). In this topic please
look on apps from user point of view, not developer :)
