Turns out that litephone doesn't use FLTK, but rather uses QT. However, QT had the same exact bug. This is described and patched in
http://lists.trolltech.com/qt-interest/2008-10/thread00773-0.html This fix is included upstream in QT4.5, so whenever litephone moves up to the newer QT, the bug will go away.
