+1 Just weighing in that the functionality you proposed in the start of this thread would be fantastic. Raising and lowering a keyboard quickly is a problem at the moment. It autoraises under some circumstances now, but that implementation is not yet working like it should, as it frequently raises when I don't want it to and hides when I want it to be visible.
