Sorry to sound negative. All these proposals sound nice and sensible in theory. The problem is that there are no resources and no maintainer to actually do all that kind of stuff. We can't even push out a release once every few months, although mrmoku prepared a nice -testing release candidate. So, I don't see us do that kind of continuous effort anytime soon. I'd push out mrmoku's -testing candidate as a -testing release asap, and keep it frozen, just fixing minor bugs. Then in a few months we upgrade with a hopefully (by then) stable snapshot using xorg and shove -testing over to -stable :). Not optimal, but using the lease human resources. Just my personal opinion. spaetz _______________________________________________ Shr-User mailing list [email protected] http://lists.shr-project.org/mailman/listinfo/shr-user
