I have a dumb usb charger (capable of ~630ma according to specs) from a
GPS unit containing a nokia battery. I have used it on the FR up to
about 6 months ago when the sysfs paths changed. Before the changes,
when plugged in it would bring the FR out of suspend, but refuse to
initiate charging until I "forced" it using one of the battery scripts,
after which it was fine.

With 2 week old shr, but using a 2.6.28 kernel I cant seem to force
500ma charging anymore. I am trying "echo 500
> /sys/class/i2c-adapter/i2c-0/0-0073/pcf50633-mbc/usb_curlim" but if I
read it afterwards, it still shows "100". The framework log just shows:
2009.10.02 11:47:18.958 odeviced.kernel26 INFO power status now
charging
2009.10.02 11:47:18.989 oeventsd.fso_triggers INFO Receive
PowerStatus, status = charging
2009.10.02 11:47:19.28 oeventsd INFO turn led
gta02_power_orange on
2009.10.02 11:47:19.45 oeventsd.fso_triggers INFO Receive
PowerStatus, status = charging
2009.10.02 11:47:19.169 oeventsd.fso_triggers INFO Receive
PowerStatus, status = charging
2009.10.02 11:47:19.183 oeventsd.fso_triggers INFO Receive
PowerStatus, status = charging
2009.10.02 11:47:19.213 oeventsd.fso_triggers INFO Receive
PowerStatus, status = charging

The shr settings app isnt much use as it doesnt even show that power has
been plugged in. After plugging the charger in, the top shelf battery
icon may flick between charging/not charging a couple of times before
settling on not charging.

Is there another sysfs path that may be a better choice to force it on?
- or do I need another usb charger - I am reluctant to discard this one
as it has multiple equipment using it, and its worked fine on the FR in
the past.
