ubi is "ubinized" 
which mean raw rootfs image + ubi headers created with params:
http://build.shr-project.org/shr-unstable/images/om-gta02/ubinize.cfg

ubifs is only raw rootfs usefull if you already have nand formated with
ubi headers and want to write only image to some partition

prepare ubi partition on nand yourself and write *ubifs there or flash
whole nand partition with *ubi image

Exact commands are in manual.. sorry my cmdlist for ubi is already
removed from pastebin and I'm not sure if I have it somewhere else.. but
I can try to find it later..
