Try re/starting fsodeviced (/etc/init.d/fosdeviced restart).

thanks for the suggestions, and it's done:

r...@tom-gta02 ~ $ ps auxww|grep fsodev
root 2012 3.3 2.6 8160 3152 ? Ss 16:15 0:00
/usr/sbin/fsodeviced
root 2032 0.0 0.7 3788 848 pts/3 S+ 16:15 0:00 grep fsodev
r...@tom-gta02 ~ $ date
Thu Feb 4 16:16:20 GMT 2010
r...@tom-gta02 ~ $ fsoraw -r Display mokomaze
r...@tom-gta02 ~ $ echo $?
1

as you can see, i'd restarted fsodeviced not two minutes before, and still fsoraw fails. does noone else see this?

maybe it's time for a reinstall.
