Hi,

I made myself a little script to quickly turn wifi on the Freerunner on
and off and automatically deal with the connections and everything and
I got this part to work. When I click the script's icon on the desktop
it turns on wifi and connects to my AP and clicking again it turns wifi
off. Now I also want that the name and icon for the desktop shortcut
would change depending on the state of the connection so I could
quickly see what is going on. When I edit the desktop file
in /usr/share/applications/ manually (e.g. using vim) the desktop
refreshes when I save the file and I immediately see the changes. When
I use sed however to change the file, the refresh does not take place.
I also tried touching the file afterwards but nothing happens.

The question is then, how to make the desktop refresh the desktop files
in /usr/share/applications/ and even better, would it be possible to
only refresh one icon, so the change would happen quickly and I
wouldn't have to see all the icons redrawn?

Regards,
Yogiz
