You're not the only one: I'm using UBIFS on both my development and "main" Freerunners, with kernel 2.6.32 and 2.6.29 respectively. The former is of course subject to frequent reboots, unclean shutdowns, abuse from the debug board and so on. I managed to hose the UBIFS root filesystem four times in about as many hours, each time getting an error when rebooting after an unclean shutdown. UBIFS is supposed to be resilient against this kind of thing, so something is clearly up. Now I've reverted to JFFS2 for the development phone...
