Hi,
I think there should be an option to do automatic fsck at boot.
As there is no input, I'd risk an fsck -y
I use ext2 for performance reason, and when I used ext3 sometimes I found some 
errors by forcing an fsck, maybe the flash translation layer in the SD mess up 
with the journal, don't know, so I don't like using ext3.
