The scrollable area listing the applications is ~1/3 of the screen height. 
Below it is a button with an asterisk, flower, or whatever the icon is, that 
doesn't seem to do anything but waste space. Since the user has gone to the 
effort of opening the task switcher it would make sense to devote available 
space to the list of tasks, not to a non-functioning button or the current 
application.
