Previous messages going back 3 months show you can add at least Tim Abell, Bill Kenworthy, Tom Hacohen and me variously calling it insane, annoying, dumb, stupid; as far as I can see, nobody else thinks it's OK.
But even if people generally don't mind the current value, that doesn't mean they'd be against a longer timeout, whereas the current value is really annoying to some (me included). Given that we can't yet easily save our preferred setting, it seems like such a trivial thing to change the default that would make (at least) 6 people happier. Robin.
