[Shr-User] phone number format in contacts

I entered a phonenumber with spaces for better readability in
contacts, like "+49 160 712 ...", and when I tried an SMS, it was not
sent, without any error message. It appears in the list of sent
messages tho. Then I tried "+49.160.712..." and "+49-160-712-...",
that failed too. Is it possible to allow spaces in the number? A small
function could strip them before sending it downward.
