Hi! The other day I had enough time to move to the new SHR-T from the February (?) image. Here are my experiences with things that used to work better back then:
1. Alarm doesn't wake up FR from suspend. 2. Clock doesn't get synced automatically. I used to leave GPS enabled and forget about the whole thing, now I have to play with ntpdate (which doesn't set hardware clock by default). This is a mixed experience, since I can finally set the clock myself, and it used to force the wrong time offset on me. 3. SMS aren't received at all now. The phone complains my SIM card is full, although it isn't. The old image was mighty unreliable, but at least some messages could be received. 4. This might be a problem specific to me, but how am I supposed to add new contacts? I can add fields at will, but I can't find the way to actually fill them with data. That being said, I like having Ventura added to the default image/feeds and the speed from the newer kernel. The new opimd sounds like a good idea, but I think the contacts should be imported from SIM on the first run.
