desktop sync. desktop couch is pretty clever, maybe it could be used.

quick easy wifi. like networkmanager in gnome. i click a button and see a list
of access points. i select one, if its open it connects, if it needs a key i am
asked for it (or the key from last time i connected is used). advanced options
are hidden away somewhere.
conversation view for SMS
voip, normal calls, SMS and IM all integrated. so i can select a contact as see
all the ways to contact them. telepathy does everything, maybe its possible to
use that

priorities phone/sms in the interface. on my old nokia 3330 i could make dial
a contact very quickly, and pretty much with my eyes closed. redialing recent
contacts was also very quick. it would be nice to have an option of a home
screen that was all about the phone features. the apps can be hidden a bit
deeper.
make all the buttons a bit bigger, and further from the edge. sometimes they
can be hard to reach.
