After a total of around 7 hours of extraordinary frustration, I believe I have stumbled upon the missing instruction in the workaround to this bug. I'd be vaguely curious to know if the missing step was too obvious to state explicitly, or if indeed the opposite is true. In any case, the missing step is this:
After you tap the "Continue" button and then the "Back" button, you MUST then tap in the text-entry window itself in order for the cursor to become visible and typing to work. Merely tapping the two buttons does not bring focus to the text-entry window; it simply sets things up so that the text-entry window will indeed obtain focus once you tap it. I appreciate very much the hard work of the developers of this software, but with all due respect, this bug should not be marked as "major" in Trac; it should be marked as "blocking." People expect it to be possible to write a text message in less than 7 hours. -- View this message in context: http://shr-users-discussions.2691941.n2.nabble.com/SHR-U-tp5525809p5548495.html Sent from the SHR Users discussions mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Shr-User mailing list [email protected] http://lists.shr-project.org/mailman/listinfo/shr-user
