I just finished Gibson's "Zero History", and I was curious about the Neo phone that one of the main characters is using in the first half of the book (while the rest of the world seems to use iphones and macbooks only), so I asked Cory Doctorow (mentioned in the "thanks" section of the book) and he confirmed that the Neo Freerunner is meant. In the book the Neo has an american + russian gps, often problems with the software, the company producing it went off business, later it was said it went bankrupt. Well.
I can't really advise this book (it's the 3rd part of "pattern recognition" and "spook country"), it's too much "ideal world" story to me (different from Neuromancer and its 2 followers).
