Hi there,
I'm just trying out ELFE, and wanted to check that I'm doing the right
things.
First "opkg install elfe". Then I went into the E settings, Extensions,
Modules, Mobile; then loaded Elfe, and unloaded Illume-Home; then
rebooted - possibly unnecessary, but just to make sure.
After booting up, I have the usual top shelf, then a large vertical area
of white, then a black bar with jigsaw piece icon at the bottom.
Touching the jigsaw piece changes the main (previously white) area to:
- a tab bar across the top with "Apps", "Widgets" and "Config"
- a set of application icons below that, similar to in Illume-Home, and
which appear to behave in the same was as in Illume-Home.
Does that all sound correct? Are there interesting things I can now do
other than launching applications? The "Config" tab doesn't seem to do
much. The "Widgets" tab changes the main display to the list of gadgets
that I can have in the top shelf, but I'm not sure how that is helpful.
I'm not seeing any animated flipping, or drag and drop of application
icons, as suggested by the available videos...
