BMP was torture and beat Mr. Bendito, truck driver who was name BMP took the truck to Liquica with the driver. We did not know yet his and car situation. This phenomena was happen at Colmera street. After two hours (12:00 local time) Aitarak were capture two young girl students in Colmera in front the Police and ABRI. ABRI and Police only saw the action of Aitarak militias with laugh and smiles. We have not known yet the identity of them (two young girls). We received report from witness that they (Aitarak) arrested them (two young girls) through in to the Aitarak car. We did not know yet where they are now? For the both cases above we reported those to the police office in Dili and Human right foundation (local legal human right) to follow up it. May 9th, 1999(16:00 local time) Dili There was sporadic shooting in Mercado Lama (Old Market) and around 'Acadiru Hun' village in Dili by BMP and Aitarak militias. In this phenomena was killed one person in Bemori whose name Eugenio Antonio Fatima (29), Evangelino who from Quintal Bo'ot and other two peoples are heavy injured. One of them whose name Jose Augusto Pinto(39) from Audian. Now he is getting care in Motael Clinic. The shooting was heard till mid night. We did not sure yet if any victims there are. May 10th, 1999 Dili In the morning (07:30 local time) Aitarak militias have been concentrated in Tropical Dili(Gadapaksi office) before they moving around in Acadiru Hun and Centro area. They provoke the peoples who are going around these area. They (Aitarak ) also are concentrated in front of the KODIM Dili and ABRI/TNI and police let them to provoke peoples. At 11.00 o'clock ( local time ), there were 4 trucks of Besi Merah Putih came from Liquica protected by Police ( BRIMOB ). When they pass UNTIM campus in Kaikoli; they were open fires to the UNTIM campus buildings -there are no victims; because the students are already left before they are coming. They have been continued their brutallity to Quintal Bo'ot, Audian, Bemori, and Akadiru Hun areas. According to the witness report, the BMP were made sporadic shooting to those peoples who are living around there (Audian, Quintal Bo'ot, Akadiru Hun and Bemori areas). We just found five victims are injure and have threatment and one man was died in the Motael clinic. We persumed that many peoples are injured but the situation at that time (10/5/1999) did not support to brougth them to the hospital. For a while we identified four persons are died one in Motael clinic whose name Sesaltino and the other three are in died in Wirahusada, we have not identified yet , probably another will find later. Among of the victims are found that BMP and Aitarak Militias were cut their bodies like ear, hand, neck, and took the gold accessories. Francisco de Jesus Amado (ex- head village of Bemori, DPRDs member ) is one of victim of the militias brutallity on 10/5/99. On his testimony, he said that he was captured in front of Bemori village office, when the captured occurred a militia beat him with a butt of gun and took 1 million rupiah from his pocket an brougth him to Aitarak camp then let him later. In front of the victim ( Francisco ) they said Bemori is a target of their attack. In Audian the militias burning an house and brougth two motorcycle. Since that time the population which living there are moving out from there for looking their safety. The crucial situation makes peoples afraid to turn back to their villages. Since the information writing down we observed that the peoples looking carefully in their activities because usually the militias attacked suddenly. We could not understand ABRI/TNI and Police position in these cases. It seems that they are support militias movements. There fact show us that ABRI and police always came after victims falling down. Unfortunately UN-Secretary General was trust Indonesia troop very much to take over security in East Timor before and during ballot.
