Folks,

We just submitted updated versions of the two CPS template drafts (ISP and Internet Registry). While I did make some keyword changes, I ran out of time so there are still some places where "will"s should be "MUST"s, etc. The CPS revisions (from the last drafts submitted in October 2008) are focussed on trying to bring the two CPS's into alignment with the changes that have been made in the CP. These include but are not limited to:
        - terminology
                - assign/allocate --> distribute
                - AS#, IP address --> Internet Number Resource (INR)
                - resource/certificate holder --> subscriber
                - use of the more general term "RPKI-signed" object in
                  place of ROA
                - removed mention of LIRs, just using ISP
                - upload/post --> publish to/via
        - removal of routing and ROA references
        - shortening RPKI background text
        - moving a number of details from the CP to the CPS, e.g.,
                - applying for a certificate
                - circumstances for revocation
                - CA/RA termination
                - responsibilities of the relying party
                - time constraints for publication, notification, etc.
        - removal of sections marked "omitted" (except for a few where
          I ran into Microsoft Word problems)
        - reference to algorithm draft

I also spent some time trying to make the two drafts use the same wording where possible. Between that and some of the changes mentioned above, e.g., the removal of the routing/ROA examples/text and the switch to INR (vs "IP address" or "AS# and IP address") the drafts are now very similar. So, it might make sense to combine them and simply have text specific to each case where appropriate.

Thank you,
Karen
