Michigan candidates preferred 1. *An experienced Essbase* (also Hyperion Planning) consultant. This individual will work with our team lead to complete the implementation of our reporting application. Our lead is in charge of the Planning application. This person would be a techno -functional Hyperion Planning contractor. This person will have done requirements, design as well as building cubes and activities like that : · Responsible for developing Hyperion Financial applications as per the business requirements to generate the financial statements from those cubes. · Involved in 24x7 Production Support, Troubleshooting end user issues, *Performance Tuning* and *Performance monitoring *of existing production cubes as a DBA. · Maintained Production cubes and taken regular backups of databases. · Resolved Business end users issues like Data tie-off issues, cube consolidation issues, data loading issues into cubes and cube-to-cube data transfer issues in a timely manner. · Did database settings, partitions and server settings to improve the applications performance. · Involved in Hyperion Software installations, configuration and Hyperion software upgrade from version 7.1.5 to 9.3.1 and 6.5 to 7.1.5. · Maintained applications security for users and groups through security filters. · Hands on experience in backup and recovery of databases. · Developed database objects *Outlines, Load Rules, Calc and Report Scripts*, designed and developed monthly, quarterly and yearly retail P&L Cubes. · Developed shell scripts using Maxl and Esscmd in Unix for batch process (data load, calculations, backups etc). · Reviewed cube design with developers and Essbase Core Competency, Wrote *Batch Scripts* and scheduling them automatically to run the jobs. · Involved extensively in generating monthly/quarterly financial statements (Balance sheet statement, cash flow statement) and Adhoc reports using Hyperion Financial Reporting, Web Analysis, Interactive Reporting and Smart view. · Developed Multi Dimensional Database applications using *Essbase*that stored and maintained company’s financial and marketing data for loading and manipulation of the data into the database using *Load Rules*. · Wrote *Report Scripts* to develop Income & expense statement analysis reports. Developed Revenue and Quantity Reports. · Involved in Production support of HFM applications and worked on FDM workbench. · Involved in Data storage model conversion of applications from BSO to ASO model. · Written queries in *Stored Procedures* in staging area where * Essbase* applications extract partial data as per the cube business requirements from GSAP accounting core data. · Prepared User guides and imparted training to functional users. *2. 1 or 2 experienced HFM consultants*. This individual needs to be experienced and independent enough to come in through a mostly completed application and make modification to already written code and reports as needed. This individual should have knowledge of business rules development. We also need someone with functional knowledge/experience (accounting and consolidation), that is, the role requires more than just a strong Visual Basic programmer. The second individual could be more junior (working under the guidance of the first one) but with good report writing skills. Knowledge of FDM is a plus. Knowledge transfer after completion will be part of their brief. Hyperion Financial Mangement (HFM ) .
