*Job Description:*

Windows Server Remote Execution provides support for all infrastructure and
agency servers, network printer support, server hardware troubleshooting,
VMWare, server issuance installation, change implementation, and incident
resolution. Supported platforms include Active Directory, DNS\WINS, Windows
2000\2003 servers, Windows clustering, Live Communication Server, SharePoint
Services, Distributed File System (DFS), VMWare, Internet Authentication
Server (IAS), Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) and Messaging and
Collaborative Technology Server Software, which provides support for
Microsoft Messaging & Collaboration servers, BlackBerry and Topcall
software, and programs and utilities used for enterprise messaging and
collaboration. Focus is on second level incident management and proactive
maintenance of the supported platforms. Additional responsibilities include
writing technical documentation, working with various problem management
areas and project teams, performing root cause analysis, learning new
technologies, and rotational support of the State Farm Command Center.

        Knowledge of Service Management tools and processes.

to high complexity and importance with only broad direction
        High technical aptitude and demonstrated commitment to technical
skill development
        Knowledgeable in State Farms system infrastructure and Agency
environment
        Demonstrated ability to mentor and train others
        Ability to develop documentation

*Critical Technical Skills:*
        Experience and/or knowledge of Storage Area Networking, drive
corruption troubleshooting, and drive array configuration
        Experience and/or knowledge of VMWare, IIS,Communication Server,
SharePoint, MOM, or IAS are desirable
        Experience with Messaging applications (such as Exchange,
BlackBerry, Lotus Notes, Topcall) and isolating and resolving problems and
developing long term solutions
        Experience or knowledge of the BlackBerry and Microsoft Exchange
server relationship
        Experience with Windows clustering, DFS, and printer management
        Experience managing Active Directory in a multi-forest environment
        Experience using UNIX operating systems desirable
        Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals, DHCP, WINS, and DNS
        Demonstrated ability to perform advanced troubleshooting and develop
solutions to Windows Server 2000 and 2003 related problems
        Strong knowledge of HP Service Desk. and a basic understanding of
OVO monitoring
        Ability to create, review and update KIs
