*Position: Datastage Admin*
*Location: Minneapolis or Charlotte*
*Duration: 6 months*
*Responsibilities: *
Primary responsibilities cover product administration for DataStage /
Infosphere 8.1, 8.0 & 7.5 on an AIX platform.
Product administration covers the installation, environment setup &
configuration, production support and developer support.
Secondary responsibilities covers the development, implementation and
support of infrastructure & application configuration management tools for a
large, complex and highly integrated environment consisting of 40+ different
software technologies and over 250 lpars/servers.
Area of responsibility cover: production support, environment monitoring,
application & file system utilization tracking, environment capacity
planning and reporting, infrastructure inventory & license management,
availability monitoring, data collection, reporting & metrics gathering &
automated build tools.
Other responsibilities cover the problem analysis, diagnosis & resolution of
all infrastructure issues in the environment.
*Requirements:*
Excellent knowledge of hardware, software, OS(AIX) and storage
infrastructure fundamentals.
STRONG Experience with UNIX - shell scripting and configuration management
tools required.
-performance tuning within Unix environment
-Unix Security experience
-Scripting in Unix
-Unix Admin
Experience with DataStage administration (8.1, 8.0, 7.5)
Experience with Application Design
Knowledge of SDLC within an app dev environment
Experience with capacity planning
3-5 years experience with relational databases preferred
