Database Engineer
The Database Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing new
functionalities in our customer database. This position reports to the MIS
Application Development Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
. Assist the Development Manager in the design and development of our
financial datamart and potential extensions of the database.
. Support our Analytics and Predictive Modeling stakeholders by timely
producing new features that meet their needs.
. Work on major analytics initiatives to clean and enhance the accuracy of
our customer data.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
. 7-10+ years of SQL programming with the ability to develop efficient
procedures/ SQL code
. Proficient in developing and debugging in various languages and toolkits
including SQL, PHP.
. SSIS knowledge is a must
. Knowledge of MSFT VisualStudio and integrated services
. Strong knowledge and use of full software development lifecycle
methodologies (SDLC)
. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both technical and
non-technical individuals
. Excellent verbal/written communication skills
. Strong attention to detail
. Strong data analysis capabilities
o Used to working with large datasets (multi million records)
o Large scale indexing
. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
. Eager to learn new technologies and tools
. B.S. in Computer Science or work equivalent experience
