Title: VOD Test Engineer
No of positions : 8
Duration: 6 months
Location: Candidate can work out of their base location and travel as per
the project team request. Travel related expenses are paid by the customer.
Travel : 40% to 50% travel involved to Cities where customer does Field
Testing (LA, SD, Oklahoma etc) to name a few.
We will reimburse the project related travel expense.
Mandatory Skills*
"5+ years Overall Testing experience with minimum 3 Years testing VOD
systems
Experience working on VOD Testing (End to End is a plus) , STB Testing
(Motorola, Cisco, Trio), EPG Testing
Domain experience in Cable / Telecom Industry
Leverage deep functional knowledge of the applications IPTV / Video Testing
to facilitate root cause analysis, defect identification
Identify changes to test execution approach (for example -
scripts/configuration/environment, etc) which might detect more defects
Break Fix testing
Conduct defect triage to identify possible root cause areas for defects
identified
Act as liaison between testing teams - track defects to closure
Maintain defect SLAs and ensure all critical defects are caught before
production
Participate in defect triage meetings and propose corrective actions
Perform both new functionality and regression tests using standard testing
practices
Experience Working on Waterfall methodologies
Work with offshore occasionally. Will have 40- 50 % Travel to San Diego, CA,
Oklahoma city etc..

"Experience in the entire software development life cycle including design,
development, and maintenance of a commercial product.
- Experience testing Cisco (DNCS), Motorola (DAC) equipment
- Experience with DOCSIS, OCAP
- Experience in Media, Communication Industry
- Proven creative problem solver with ability to work in a hyper-changing
environment
- Strong interpersonal and relationship
Strong 3rd part software configuration/integration testing experience-need
to provide examples
- Large scale deployment experience with Examples"
